The Student Alliance for Integrative Medicine (SAIM) is a student organized group in Portland, Oregon comprised of medical students from the Oregon Health & Sciences University, Western States Chiropractic, Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and National College of Natural Medicine. Our mission to foster collaboration among students of the aforementioned medical schools in order to deepen awareness of the contributions of all medical systems for the purpose of promoting health and optimizing patient care.

On January 21, 2012, SAIM will host the 3rd Annual Integrative Medicine Day (IIM Day).  This event is one of the many taking place worldwide to celebrate International Integrative Medicine Day.  IIM Day in Portland, inspires dialogue and collaboration among healthcare students and professional from all the various medical schools in the Portland area. The purpose of the SAIM newsletter is to foster collaboration among students of NCNM, OCOM, OHSU and UWS in order to deepen awareness of the contribution of all medical systems in order to promote health and optimze patient care.
